WARRANTY / SERVICE AGREEMENT
1. A 100 MILE INITIAL SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED PRIOR TO DISTRIBUTING THE MOTORCYCLE TO THE DEALER. THERE-AFTER, A 12 MONTH / 12,000 MILE (WHICH EVER COMES FIRST) POWER TRAIN (ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, PRIMARY DRIVE) WARRANTY WILL BE IN EFFECT.
2. ALL SUB-COMPONENT MANUFACTURERS WARRANTIES WILL BE HONORED.
3. ALL SUB-COMPONENT WARRANTY REGISTRATION CARDS WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE DEALER / PURCHASER FOR FULL WARRANTY COVERAGE / OWNERSHIP.
4. THESE MOTORCYCLE DRIVE TRAIN COMPONENTS (ENGINE, TRANSMISSION AND PRIMARY DRIVE) CARRY NATION WIDE 12 MONTH / 12,000 MILE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTIES FOR PARTS & LABOR AND ARE FORWARDED TO THE DEALER / PURCHASER. THESE COMPONENTS ARE BASED ON 1984 TO 1999 HARLEY-DAVIDSON (AMERICAN V-TWIN) SOFTAIL COMPONENTS, AND CAN HAVE SERVICE OR WARRANTY WORK PERFORMED NATION WIDE AT ANY CERTIFIED AMERICAN V-TWIN SERVICE CENTER OR HARLEY DAVIDSON DEALER.
WARRANTYPower train (Engine, Transmission, Primary drive) component parts used are guaranteed to the original purchaser to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of (12) twelve months from the date of purchase. Components that fail to conform to these conditions will be repaired by the manufacturer if the parts are returned to the manufacturer (The Chop Zone) by the original purchaser within the 12-month warranty period or within 10 days thereafter.
In the event that warranty service is required, the original purchaser must call or write The Chop Zone Immediately with the problem. Some problems can be rectified with a telephone call and need no further course of action. A component that is suspected of being defective must NOT be replaced by a Dealer without prior authorization from The Chop Zone. If it is deemed necessary for the manufacturer to make an evaluation to determine whether the component was defective, it must be packaged properly to prevent further damage and be returned pre-paid to The Chop Zone with a copy of the original invoice of purchase and detailed letter outlining the nature of the problem, how the component was used and the circumstances at the time of failure. If, after an evaluation has been made and the component was found to be defective, repair or replacement will be granted at the manufacturers discretion.
ADDITIONAL WARRANTY PROVISIONS:
1. The Chop Zone shall have no obligation in the event a Great American Chopper motorcycle, or one of it’s components is modified by any other person or organization.
2. The Chop Zone shall have no obligation in the event a Great American Chopper becomes defective in whole or in part as a result of improper break-in procedures, improper maintenance, improper use, abnormal operation, or any other misuse or mistreatment thereof.
3. The Chop Zone shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the failure of an individual component, the breech of any sub-component warranties, the failure to deliver, delay in delivery, delivery in non-conforming condition, or for any other breach of contract between a local repair / service facility and a customer.
4. The Chop Zone custom built motorcycles are designed exclusively for normal highway use, under normal operating conditions, and in accordance with local and national D.O.T. rules and regulations. The Chop Zone shall have no warranty or liability obligation if a Great American Chopper is used in any other application.
